Who Needs Next-Gen? Skyrim Graphics Look Ridiculously Amazing In Recent Video

A few weeks ago, RealVision ENB released another YouTube video showcasing Skyrim’s amazing graphics capabilities.

It’s hard to believe that Skyrim is fast approaching three years old. Time goes by fast, and a lot has happened in the gaming industry since the hit RPG was first released — namely the introduction of next-gen consoles.

Despite the fact that Skyrim wasn’t designed for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the game still looks solid on all platforms. When modders work their PC magic on Skyrim though, the game looks ridiculously amazing.

To say that mods like RealVision ENB tweak Skyrim’s graphics is an understatement. As shown in the latest YouTube video posted by RealVision’s creator, Skyrim looks every bit as good (or better) than next-gen. In total, RealVision has posted six videos to-date, each showing Skyrim in all its enhanced glory. Links to the videos can be found on RealVision’s NexusMods page.

The beautiful game video shown above was captured on a PC rocking a top shelf graphics card (ASUS GTX 780 OC 3GB). That being said, RealVision lists the minimum system requirements at a more modest level:

Minimum System Requirements

Intel Core i5 3 GHz
NVidia GTX 660 Ti 2GB
8GB RAM
(or similar from AMD)

As stunning as these graphics look, the actual installation of RealVision ENB is not for the faint of heart, and dedicated gamers will need to follow a series of steps (and additional mod installations) to get the amazing Skyrim graphics looking just right. If you have the aptitude, you might consider following the instruction guidelines here. If not, you can always join the Mage’s College in Winterhold (in the end it might be easier with less frustration).
