Console Launch

The Xbox One and PS4 versions of The Elder Scrolls Online were originally planned for a June 2014 release, but a number of implementation issues caused unforeseen delays. ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) has worked tirelessly to meet the challenge, and the company’s persistent efforts have finally paid off. It’s taken an entire year folks, but the console launch has finally arrived with great excitement, joy, and expectation.

ESO no longer requires a subscription fee, and after purchasing the game, players are free to dive right into the action. Console players can explore the realms of The Elder Scrolls Online on their own, completing quests and exploring dungeons, or teaming up with friends for an even richer, MMORPG experience.

There’s just so much to do in this game: fighting, crafting, stealing, and more. The evil Molag Bal is tearing the world apart as a three-faction war rages across the land. Tamriel needs heroes, and Xbox One and PS4 players can finally heed the clarion call to action.

So hang on to your helms, console players! An entire world of adventure awaits you. Cinch up your sword belts and prepare to enjoy the journey. Today is just the beginning…
