Vote Now For The Elder Scrolls Soundtrack!

Every year, Classic FM holds a vote allowing the public to select the most popular classical music. The top 300 works are listed in the Classic FM Hall of Fame. In 2012, The Elder Scrolls soundtrack (composed by Jeremy Soule) was ranked #238. As impressive as this sounds (pun intended), The Elder Scrolls soundtrack jumped all the way up to #5 in 2013. Wow!

Jeremy Soule is known as the “John Williams of video game music.” As fans of Elder Scrolls series we definitely know why he holds this moniker. Soule’s work on Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim is amazing, setting the mood and defining the world of Tamriel in a special way. Can you imagine firing up Skyrim and not hearing the Song of the Dragonborn? I know I can’t. While underappreciated at times, a good video game soundtrack is essential in establishing emotion.The Elder Scrolls soundtrack isn’t simply good, however. It’s epic.

Vote for The Elder Scrolls Soundtrack for Classic FM Hall of Fame 2014

If you feel that The Elder Scrolls soundtrack should be included in the 2014 Classic FM Hall of Fame, please vote! It only takes a minute to let the world know how much you respect The Elder Scrolls and Jeremy Soule’s work. To cast your vote, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the Classic FM Hall of Fame voting page here.
2. Type in Jeremy Soule in the search box.
3. Select The Elder Scrolls Soundtrack and two other music pieces (you have to select a total of three pieces of music for your ballot). You can select some of Soule’s other works (Guild Wars 2, War Thunder, etc.), or search for any other piece of classical music in the search bar. If you’re looking for more worthy video game music, you might consider Inon Zur’s soundtrack for Fallout 3 or Daniel Licht’s score for Dishonored.
4. Once you have three music pieces selected, the Submit Your Vote button will turn from gray to purple. Click the purple Submit button and your votes are recorded.
5. You then have the option to fill in some personal information to enter a prize drawing. This step is optional, and doesn’t affect the casting of your vote.
