Volunteers Needed For Elder Scrolls Online PTS

ESO wants you! Test Update 4 on The Elder Scrolls Online PTS before the new content is officially released.

Late last week, the ESO development team posted a call for volunteers to test Update 4 on The Elder Scrolls Online PTS. The PTS is the “Public Test Server,” and is available for everyone with an active subscription. Volunteers will be able to test Update 4 and provide valuable feedback to the devs before the new content is officially released to the live server.

Before you can participate in the test, you’ll need to download The Elder Scrolls Online PTS:

  1. Open your ESO launcher
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Select “Show Public Test Environment”
  4. The PTS will automatically download
  5. Once the PTS finishes patching, select “Games” (left-hand side of launcher)
  6. Log-in with your same UserID and password.

To test Update 4, templates will be available for players to create a Veteran Rank 14 character. If you already have a high level character, an upcoming option will allow you to copy your character over to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS.

Volunteers will also be able to test the new Dragonstar Arena — a unique type of group challenge coming soon to the game. Players that are able to complete all 10 arena stages on Veteran Mode will earn the “Dragonstar Arena Conqueror” achievement and will be invited to a special Q&A session with the devs.

Unlike The Elder Scrolls Online beta tests, livestreaming Update 4 content is encouraged, and volunteers can send the devs a tweet @TESOnline.
